 The Visiting Artists SeriesThe Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs is pleased to announce this new initiative for the 2009-2010 academic year. Funding has been allocated to enable the Department of Art, the Department of Theatre and Dance and the Hayes School of Music to host visiting artists residencies and lectures in support of their teaching missions. The academic areas themselves generate the proposals and select the residencies and lectures that are the most effective opportunities for their area. The Office of Arts & Cultural Affairs is pleased to partner with our campus colleagues to offer these meaningful and important opportunities for students to interact with renowned professionals from their disciplines. In addition to the work with the respective departments, a public lecture that makes the programming accessible to the entire campus and the greater Appalachian community is built in to each visit.
